Small Groups at PTCCC
To ensure that the church has settings that allow and encourage meaningful, appropriate, focused and fitting times of relationship building, study and prayer. This ministry is responsible for: Training for Small Group Leaders, Small Group Kickoff Weekend, Small Group Leader Retreat, The Annual Small Group Celebration, and Small Group Huddle Meetings.

Our small groups are a vital part of our church family at Peachtree City Christian Church. With a congregation of our size, it's important to have personal Christian relationships to rely on, to help encourage one another and to strengthen each other's walk. Small Groups can be a valuable way to bring about these things that corporate worship cannot fill.

We have a number of small groups, which meet throughout the week, and we are continuously looking to begin new groups. If you desire to be involved in a small group, either as a small group member or even as a small group leader, please contact Rex Wiseley, our Discipleship Minister. He will be glad to connect you to a group, or to help in the process of training you to lead. He can be reached at (770) 487-9711.

What's the Big Deal about Small Groups?
1. Because they are Biblical.

Acts 2:2; 5:42, 8:3, 12:12, 16:32, 16:40, 20:20

“ … You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you publicly and from house to house.”

2. Because they promote the building of relationships.

Ephesians 4:3, Romans 12:5, Galatians 5:13, Ephesians 4:3, 5, 13, 1 John 4:7, 11, 21

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

3. Because groups are instrumental in growing disciples.

2 Timothy 2:2

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”

4. Because they demonstrate and encourage the priesthood of all believers.

Ephesians 4:11-12

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up …”

5. Small Groups are a GREAT way to shepherd the whole body of Christ.

Acts 4:32

“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.”

6. Because they foster Biblical love.

John 12:35, 1 Corinthians 13:13, Ephesians 5:2, 1 John 4:4, 11, 21
